Dear Sir,

I am writing in connection in relation with the advertisement that I saw in the "One Earth Magazine". I am a professional doctor and I would like to join your company for the position of doctor to save children in Haiti.

As I said I am a doctor. I graduated from the Santiago Medical College five years ago. During my years at college I participated in different helping companies and I also took part in a number of ventures in which I commit to helping people in Africa. Since I gradueted I have participated in several training courses. Now I am working in the State Hospital in my home town. However I have permission to leave for three months to join your companies.

Due to my experience and medical qualifications, I could deal with all kinds of physical problems that children may be suffering from. In addition, I have experience with children recovering from traumatic accidents.

I would be grateful if you could inform me when you will be announcing the results of the application. I would also be interested to know the planned departure date.

I am writing to ask about the African Safari holiday. My family and I love animals and speacilly taking pictures. Therefore this package would be perfect for us. I saw advertised in The Sun. My family and I are interested in the trip. However, we would like more information about it.

Firstly, I would like to know about the food. I know it is very different from Chile. Could you tell me what it is include in the packge? 

Secondly, I have never been to a different continent. Could you tell me what type of vaccines would I have to take? 

Thirdly, I would like to know about accomodation. Could you tell me where I will be staying?

Music Can Heal People

It is well-known that music has been in humans life since the begging. Scientists have found traces that show how the first Homo Sapiens played or made some kind of noise which could have been the first attempt to create music in history. This is the reason why I do believe that music can heal people and actually it does.

Despite the fact that music is in our life even before we are born, it is important to point out some negative aspects such us the sexual connotation in lyrics or beats in music which could hurt young listeners. This could hurt listener's hearing.

However, there are studies that have shown many positive aspects. The most important is the stimulation of the brain. Therefore, If we could stimulate the right emotions, we will be able to heal people and make them feel better with music. That is why music plays a key role in life.

In conclusion, you can change someone's mood with music and certainly heal them. Therefore we should use music as a means of healing people because it surely has positive effects.

My freshman Welcome

When I was 18 years, I was young and naive. I really did not know what I was getting into when I decided I wanted to go to university.

It all started in March. I was told that I would have a test the following day. Therefore attendance was mandatory. We all showed up for class. We were ready to start the test when a bunch of people came into the classroom. They were sophomore. They were there to give us our welcome activity.

The tricky thing of our welcome activity was that they took us by surprise and collected our things. I remember they took my shoes and put crazy make up on my face. I looked ridiculous. After that sophomore took us to the beach to play games. I heard we would have to Jardín Bótanico. I had never heard of that before but I had to go in order to get my shoes back. I arrived with my friends and  there were upper classes. We had a good time.

In the end I had a blast. Although it was scary at the beginning I loved the expirence. I was able to meet different people that I would never had done it. 

Will robots rule our world in the next century?

We are living in a world that every day produces some new kind of technology or device that helps us in our life. Therefore i wonder, when human beings will be displaced by any of this new technology? Maybe robots will be our replacement.

Some people believe that the possibility that robots will replace humans it is near by but I find this hard to conceive. It seems that humans beings only use around 20% of the capacity of the human brain.

Imagine what we could do if we use our whole brain? 

I guess that by the time robots are produced massively humans will have discovered how to used their entire brains capacity. 

Therefore Humans will still be more integrated in society than robots.

It is because what I stated before that I found unlikely that robots will rule our society in the next century, perhaps this will be an import part of our world but could never replace us.
